The book of Revelation, which closes the New Testament, is a letter addressed to seven early Christian churches offering both encouragement and challenge in the face of Roman persecution. The visionary poetry and symbolic prose of its author, John of Patmos, fairly calls out for accompanying imagery—a call artists over the past two millennia have been unable to resist. This collection of twelve lino prints, created over the final twelve days of 2023 is my own humble contribution to this vast collection of apocalyptic art.
